SYNOPSIS
The documentary is about 5
italian expatriates that have lived in Paris for the past 20 years. Oreste
Scalzone, Cesare Battisti, Luigi Rosati, Paola De Luca and Paolo Persichetti
have all been deeply involved with the mass movement of armed struggle in Italy
during the seventies. They were all sentenced to terms that go up to life
imprisonment for some, after the final degree of judgement. The unity factor
among them is that no one “repented” or dissociated himself from the armed
struggle. They all fit in the parisian scene through their different activities:
activist and performer, “noir” novelist, african music journalist,
translator and University student. We see them in the context of their parisian
life and understand how they re-invented a new life in exile.
